4. The passport photo must be sized in such a way so that the subject’s head is located between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
5. The passport photo must be current (generally taken within the last 6 months)
6. The background for your passport photo should be white or off-white.
7. The passport photo must be taken with the subject fully facing forward.
8. The passport photo must feature a natural facial expression and both eyes must remain open.
9. The passport photo should have you wearing clothing that is typical of what you would wear normally. (A uniform should not be worn in a passport photo. No hats, headphones or head coverings should be worn for the passport photos. An exception is made for religious clothing that is worn on a daily basis.)
10. Prescription glasses and hearing aids may be worn for your passport photo. To avoid a glare due to eyeglasses, it is suggested to tilt the glasses downward of take the passport photo without a flash. (Tinted glasses are not acceptable unless you can provide a medical certificate.

This blog entry features another celebrity passport application. This famous author used his passport to travel around the world! One of the most traveled celebrities; his passport probably has more stamps than any other celebrity featured in this celebrity passport blog series. Born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, this prolific author is also famous for leaving for Italy to become an ambulance driver during World War I. After being seriously wounded, this famous American used his passport to return home. In 1921 he was married and got his passport stamped once again as he and his new wife moved to Paris.
After a short time, he moved back to the states and then went onto Toronto (at that time, a passport wasn’t needed to travel to Canada) to become a freelance writer for the Toronto Star.
As a freelance writer he traveled around the globe getting his passport stamped in Smyrna while covering the Greco-Turkish War. He wrote travel pieces about tuna fishing and bullfighting in Spain, where he added yet another stamp to his passport. He went on to Germany for another passport stamp, then onto Italy again, then to Geneva where he collected more passport stamps, and eventually returned back to Paris.
Shortly after writing The Old Man and the Sea in 1952, this famous author added more passport stamps in Africa, and traveled to the Caribbean (where no passport was needed) and back and forth to Cuba where he established a residence and where his passport accumulated many stamps.

Eric Mann and Brook Blew were recently married and were excited to embark on their honeymoon to Mexico. Their puppy, Moses, a 2-year-old Bassett Hound, had a different idea. Moses, who according to his owners loves to eat shoes, books, earrings, remote controls and more – decided to eat Eric’s passport just 2 days before their honeymoon. When Eric checked the passport, he saw that the photo and bar code remained in tact.
What would you have done? Irish singer Brian McFadden was recently left grounded in Australia after he realized that he lost his passport.
McFadden had planned to head overseas but couldn’t leave the country after realizing that his passport had been lost. The logical thing to do would’ve been to contact the Irish embassy in Sydney, Australia – but instead McFadden turned to twitter when he discovered that his passport was missing and tweeted the following to his Twitter followers: “Missing! Irish passport with a picture of me on it.”
In the end, none of the twitter followers returned the lost passport, but McFadden did have success after contacting the Irish Embassy.
