Students Beat the Rush, Get Your Passport!

According to a survey conducted by STA Travel there is a new trend in student travel.  Mexico had been the top destination for sometime, but now students are trading in the sun of Mexico for the culture of Europe.

About.com lists Amsterdam, London and Paris as the cities where you’ll see the most American students in 2010, followed by Rome, Florence, Madrid, and Berlin.

These travelers are looking to party, but are also looking to learn.  For student travelers who want to make the most of their learning, they can even learn a language.  I found an organization, Cactus Language Training who according to their website, offers:

  •  Spanish classes in Jaco Beach, Playa Tamarindo, Heredia, and San Joaquin de Flores, Costa Rica.
  • Portuguese courses in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil
  • Italian classes in Taormina, Sicily
  • French courses in Saint-Anne, Guadeloupe

Whether it’s the relaxing beaches of Mexico or the Caribbean, surfing in Costa Rica, or taking in the nightlife in the Dominican Republic, one thing is for sure – you’ll need a passport!  It’s a good idea to get your passport early and beat the rush!

The busy passport season is starting to begin and to avoid a delay in receiving your passport; you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
